I've seen many people here who started to think they're old in their mid-thirties, and I remember back when I was 20 I used to think I only have 15 years to achieve anything and enjoy life. I used to believe that after 35, you start aging and getting weaker & lazier everyday.
Most of the foreign residents in Hurghada are retired. They come here to enjoy the warm weather during winter while it's too damn cold in their countries. All my life I enjoyed making friends with people who are much older than I am. My closest friend when I was 14 was 24 years old and we remained close friends until he left Egypt when I was 18, and we've stayed in touch since.
I was able to make friends with several of the older Europeans living here, and after getting to know them I have to say the following:
Age is just a number; I've been trying to train hard just to be able to keep up with them on the bike, same with swimming , also same with their positive attitude towards the future.
I don't know where you come from, but If you don't know it already, people here in Egypt feel old very young. Maybe it's because they don't do much sports, and maybe it's a culture thing. But I decided I don't want to be like that.
My main goal 3 years ago was to leave Egypt for good, and my main goal 2 years ago was to save money and live a better life. Right now, my main goal is to be able to run, swim, ride, have fun, and be positive about the future when I'm older.
